On the occasion of the patron saint’s day of the church of St. Maximilian in Munich, a festive service will be held on Sunday, 15 October at 10.30 a.m. with the performance of the “Cecilia Mass” by Charles Gounod, which will be performed by the MaxChor with the Ensemble Lodron orchestra and Konstantin Esterl on the organ under the direction of Gerald Häußler.
During the Eucharistic celebration, which will be celebrated by Rainer Maria Schießler, several melodies from the Gotteslob will also be heard in an arrangement for assembly, choir, organ and symphony orchestra created especially for this occasion by Lucio Mosè Benaglia.
